This innovative multi-sensory room was one of the first major projects undertaken by Friends of Tennessee School for the Blind. The completed project was presented to TSB in a special ribbon cutting ceremony on November 4, 2005. This room, often referred to as a "Snoezelen" room, contains many exciting features such a tactile wall, fiber optic curtain, vibro-music cushions, a bubble tube, a projector and many other "wonders" designed to create a soothing, yet stimulating environment. The TSB Wonder Room, as it is now called, has served as a great source of enjoyment to the children for many years.
A welcome sign at the entrance to the room expresses appreciation to major donors whose gifts helped make the project possible. The Board of Directors would like to add our thanks for all the individual gifts, donations and contributions of time and talent that were so important to the completion of this project.
